Bob Saget is set to perform live in stand-up at Arvest Bank Theatre at The Midland on the Sunday evening of September 18. The Grammy Award-nominated comedian first rose to fame when he graced home audiences via network television. After a brief period with the CBS news show “My Morning Program” in 1987, Saget was cast as father Danny Tanner in the highly-acclaimed family-friendly sitcom “Full House” (1987–1995). Two years later, he landed the spot as host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (1989–1997), which he worked simultaneously.

Continuing in his fortuitous career, Saget imparts a wide array of talents from acting, directing and producing to voiceover and most recently to spending time on Broadway. He even serves on the board of the Scleroderma Research Foundation and has helped raise more than 35 million dollars for the charity by co-producing and hosting the fundraising event “Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine” a couple of times each year. In 2013, he was nominated for a Grammy for his one-hour stand-up routine, “That’s What I’m Talkin’ About.” Now, Saget has released his first book too—a New York Times Best Seller—“DIRTY DADDY: The Chronicles of a Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian” (2014).

Tickets for Saget’s comedy performance at The Midland are available through the venue website and AXS. Prices range from $39.50 to $55.00. Doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 7:30pm. All ages welcome.
