Star Pavilions Hosts Air Supply 50th Anniversary Concert Performance

The 50th anniversary performance of Air Supply at Star Pavilion inside of Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO on May 17, 2025 was more like witnessing history than just another concert. An untra-beloved favorite at the venue, the iconic Australian soft rock duo at this beloved once again provided a sold-out evening of nostalgia, romance and timeless melodies.

Despite the milestone, the magic was as fresh as ever. Lead vocalist Russell Hitchcock and singer-songwriter/guitarist Graham Russell delivered a heartfelt and passionate performance that reminded the audience why their music has endured for five decades. Their chemistry on stage remains undeniable with each harmony and lyric carrying decades of emotion and connection.

The audience was a mix of lifelong fans and first-timers as always—a beautiful testament to Air Supply’s cross-generational appeal. Once again, the group led everyone down lover’s lane with hits like “All Out of Love,” “Lost in Love” and “Making Love Out of Nothing at All.”

Backed by their stellar band of Aaron Mclain on guitar, Mirko Tessandori on keyboard (and piano this time), Doug Gild on bass and Pavel Valdman on drums—plus two special guest violinists—the music was polished, powerful and emotionally charged. Every member of the ensemble played with the reverence and energy that a 50th anniversary deserves.

There was a sense of gratitude in the air—from the band, the crowd and everyone who’s followed this incredible journey. If this night proved anything, it is that Air Supply’s legacy is not only intact but still growing, one heart at a time.
