Van Halen Frontman David Lee Roth Performed Solo in the KC Crossroads
Legendary Van Halen lead singer David Lee Roth took his solo act out on the road this summer and performed live outdoors at Grinders KC in the Crossroads district of downtown Kansas City, MO on August 27, 2025. Dubbed as “An Evening With David Lee Roth,” he delivered a throwback spectacle laced with calculated charm and classic cuts. The setlist leaned entirely on the Van Halen nostalgia, giving fans a powerful rush of ’80s rock anthems, including “Panama,” “Hot for Teacher” and “Jump” from the band’s “1984” album. Roth was magnetic as always with his flirtatious energy and remained tightly in sync with his backing band, exploding with electrifying renditions that resonated throughout the crowd. It was a celebration of legacy, charisma and unfiltered hard rock heritage.
