Warrant Headlines First Concert Held at the Former Kemper Arena

Hy-Vee Arena, formerly known as Kemper Arena, in the historic West Bottoms of Kansas City, MO hosted its first ever concert on March 22, 2024. It re-opened in 2018 as the nation’s first multi-level sports complex. Featuring four iconic rock bands of the ’80s and ’90s, the venue hosted its inaugural music performance on the second floor in front of a roaring crowd. Fans were on their feet all night long as Jack Russell’s Great White, Firehouse, Lita Ford and Warrant dazzled them with their biggest hits. We heard songs such as Great White’s “Once Bitten, Twice Shy” and “Call It Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “Love of a Lifetime” and “When I Look Into Your Eyes” from Firehouse, Lita Ford’s “Kiss Me Deadly” and “Close My Eyes Forever” plus “Heaven” and “Cherry Pie” from Warrant.
