Guns N’ Roses Summer Stadium Tour Coming to Arrowhead

In one of the most highly anticipated reunions of the last two decades, hard rock band Guns N’ Roses announced that frontman Axl Rose is rejoining with original lead guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan and storming through North American stadiums this summer in what they have dubbed as the “Not In This Lifetime…” tour. Arrowhead Events delivered news today that the legendary rockers will make a stop at Arrowhead Stadium on Wednesday, June 29—the band’s only scheduled performance in a six-state area. This show will mark only the second time the group has ever played the Chiefs’ illustrious venue, the first coming on September 17, 1992.

Guns N’ Roses formed in 1985 and gained immediate success upon the release of its debut album “Appetite for Destruction” (1987). The record topped the Billboard 200 and featured the band’s only No. 1 hit single, “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” Its follow-up title, “G N’ R Lies” (1988), reached No. 2 on the album’s chart and was superseded by another No. 2 and No. 1 hit album in “Use Your Illusion I” (1991) and “Use Your Illusion II” (1991) respectively. Having revitalized mainstream rock, the group acquired the moniker of “the most dangerous band in the world.” Slash left G N’ R in 1996 and McKagan in 1997, but the band has continued to tour with various lineups fronted by Rose throughout the years. Their first reunion gig was at the Coachella Festival on January 14 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA.

Event tickets go on sale on Friday, April 8 at 10am and are available through www.ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 1-800-745-3000 plus on sight and in person at the Arrowhead Stadium ticket office.
