Ameristar Casino Kansas City Hosted The Ozark Mountain Daredevils on May 18, 2019

Southern and country rock group The Ozark Mountain Daredevils performed live at Star Pavilion inside Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO for the first time on May 18, 2019. Heralding from Springfield, MO, the band is certainly no stranger to KC. In fact, it was at a “naming party” in our city when the members came up with their name after finding out that Family Tree—the name previous used—was already taken. The band formed in 1972 and today still includes founding members John Dillon (vocals / guitar / multi), Mike “Supe” Granda (vocals / bass / multi) and Steve Cash (vocals / harmonica / percussion / keyboards). Unfortunately, however, Steve Cash is currently sidelined with a leg injury. After almost 50 years, the 9-man multi-instrumental group is still releasing new material as well. Several tunes from its latest album “Off The Beaten Path” were featured in the set along with the classics like “Jackie Blue” and “If You Wanna Get to Heaven.”

Setlist for The Ozark Mountain Daredevils at Ameristar Casino on May 18, 2019:

“Standing on the Rock,” “Keep on Churnin’,” “Chicken Train Stomp,” “Country Girl,” “Southern Cross,” “You Made It Right,” “Homemade Wine,” “Gone Long Gone,” “Jackie Blue,” “Down to the River,” “Black Sky,” “No Way Out,” “It Probably Always Will,” “Backroads,” “Waltzing with Lady St. Louie,” “Walkin’ Down the Road,” “Friend of a Friend” and “If You Wanna Get to Heaven”; Encore – “It’ll Shine When It Shines”
