Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone Performed Live at Ameristar Casino in Kansas City on June 2, 2018

Iconic English beat rock band Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone performed live in concert at Star Pavilion inside of Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City on June 2, 2018. From the time Herman’s Hermits introduced Peter Noone (Herman) to the stage til the time he exited through the audience, the thoroughly enamored crowd wallowed in the sweetest sounds of the 1960s.

Herman’s Hermits’ original stint was between 1963 and 1971, however, Peter Noone has toured as “Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone” since the 1980s. The consummate entertainer and his band members dazzled fans with everything from the hit originals and classic recorded covers to live covers of artists of their own era, including Johnny Cash, The Kinks and The Rolling Stones. The set kicked off with the band’s first single, “I’m Into Something Good,” which reached No. 1 in the UK and No. 13 in the US. Noone re-recorded that tune as a solo artist in 1988 for the soundtrack of “Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!” and reached No. 19 on the AC chart in the following year.

Though Peter Noone led a successful music career throughout the ’80s, having released “Twice Nightly” (1980) with his band The Tremblers and his own solo album “One of the Glory Boys” (1982), the night belonged to those ultra classics of the ’60s that launched him to stardom. Together with his wit and hilarious antics, the performance had fans captivated, filled with laughter and their best sing-along voices. It was a truly magnetic evening packed with nostalgia and those joyous feel-good tunes of yesteryear.
