Emblematic pop rock artist, actor and ’80s hearttrob Rick Springfield performed live in concert at Star Pavilion insided of Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City on October 27. The Australian sensation became an absolute smash hit in the United States upon releasing “Jessie’s Girl” in 1981. He won a Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance and subsequently went on to release four more Top 10 hits, including “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “Affair of the Heart” and “Love Somebody.” His acting career includes several television shows and films, with possibly his his most renown role coming as Dr. Noah Drake in the soap opera “General Hospital” between 1981 and 1983. Springfield’s energetic live performance included all of those hits alongside a handful more and other tunes and covers. He was celebrating his 34th wedding anniversary that evening as well, and even included songs “Our Ship’s Sinking” and “Souls,” which he had written for his wife.
