Sebastian Bach Gone Wild at Knuckleheads Saloon

Canadian heavy metal singer and original Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach performed live in front of a vigorous crowd at Knuckleheads Saloon last night in support of his highly anticipated autobiography “18 And Life on Skid Row” (2016). It was a celebration marking 30 years of him rocking his fans to the core, and both the old and young came out to relive their heyday or catch a glimpse of the artist for the very first time. After a ravishing display by up-and-coming Finnish glam band Santa Cruz, Bach hit the stage for a two-part set that gave his faithful every bit of the rush they showed up to endure.

Preluded and interjected with his light-hearted antics, Bach charged the crowd with those staple hits like “Youth Gone Wild,” “18 and Life” and “I Remember You” from the band’s self-titled debut album in 1989, as well as songs he had not played in 25 years like “Rattlesnake Shake.” That record reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200 on the success of its major singles. In 1991, the band released “Slave to the Grind,” which was the first rock album ever to debut at No. 1 on the albums chart and included the hit song “Monkey Business.” He helped release the band’s third record “Subhuman Race” in 1995 before going separate ways the following year.

SEBASTIAN BACH SETLIST | Part 1 – “Little Wing” (The Jimi Hendrix Experience cover), “Breakin’ Down” (Skid Row song), “Battle With the Bottle,” “18 and Life” (Skid Row song), “Rock N’ Roll Is a Vicious Game” (April Wine cover) and “I Remember You” (Skid Row song); Part 2 – “Slave to the Grind” (Skid Row song), “Big Guns” (Skid Row song), “Sweet Little Sister” (Skid Row song), “The Threat” (Skid Row song), “Pieces of Me” (Skid Row song), “American Metalhead” (PainmuseuM cover), “Rattlesnake Shake” (Skid Row), “Monkey Business” (Skid Row song) and “Youth Gone Wild” (Skid Row song)

The night was electric and Bach clearly still loves every moment he is on stage. He is nearing the end of his tour and a 19-gig in a 21-day run, and still he is full of all the raw energy. We can only imagine that the final stop will be as heart-thumping and memorable as the first, as well as those performances back in 1989. You can discover everything about his youth, getting into music and life on the road by picking up a copy of his official memoir available for pre-sale at Barnes & Noble and on Amazon for a September 27 release.
