U2 Celebrates the 30th Anniversary of “The Joshua Tree” at Arrowhead Stadium

Irish rock band and international superstar U2 celebrates the 30th anniversary of its landmark album “The Joshua Tree” live at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO with special guest Beck on Tuesday, September 12. Released on March 9, 1987, it was the group’s fifth studio record, which topped the U.S. albums chart and remained there at No. 1 for nine weeks. It features “Where the Streets Have No Name” and the No. 1 hit singles “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and “With or Without You.” The release went on to win Grammy Awards for both “Album of the Year” and “Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal the following year. U2 has performed at Arrowhead Stadium twice in throughout its career—October 18, 1992 and on May 19, 1997. This third appearance will mark the 50th concert in the venue’s history.
